The facilities at this luxury hotel in Crete are excellent. It offers seven fresh water swimming pools and a wonderful spa centre complete with hydrotherapy pool. For children, a children’s swimming pool, private botanical gardens and even it's very own zoo are all located on site meaning there really is something for everyone at this 5 star hotel in Agia Pelagia.

Seven amazing restaurants are also within the grounds, serving a host of wonderful, international dishes. The excellent French restaurant is well worth a visit as is the incredible Greek taverna. Be sure to dine here if you want to experience true Cretan hospitality and cooking.

What we love:

We love how the multiple, separate sections of this hotel make it feel like a small village. Each section feels as though it is a small, private hotel but being part of a larger complex means you have the extra bonus of the use of all the wonderful facilities.

What we don't like:

We don't like that WiFi isn't complimentary at this luxury hotel and if you do need it then €10 per day is quite expensive. Many tavernas and restaurants in surrounding Agia Pelagia offer free WiFi so it may be wise to take advantage of this when you need to catch up with your e-mails.
